With the Tennessee Titans facing a challenging 2024 season, it’s time for them to consider offloading any movable assets, including one of their defenders, to assist the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers recently returned to victory with a 30-24 win against the Dallas Cowboys, bringing their record to 4-4. They currently rank second in the NFC West, but with the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals also at 4-4, the division remains competitive.
Given the current circumstances in the NFC West, the 49ers need to enhance their roster before the November 5 trade deadline to improve their chances of leading the tightly contested division.
One key area for improvement is the defensive line, especially after losing Hargrave to an injury for the season.
The Draft Network’s Jane Bachus suggests that Sebastian Joseph-Day, a defensive lineman from the Titans, could be a fitting solution.
Joseph-Day’s strong performance on a manageable one-year deal makes him a valuable piece for the Titans to trade. Additionally, his previous experience with the 49ers adds to the potential benefits of this move.
With San Francisco in need of depth following Hargrave’s injury, Joseph-Day could provide immediate assistance. The Titans are likely looking to build up their draft picks for a future rebuild and may only seek a late-round selection in exchange for him.
While Joseph-Day may not be the standout addition fans hope for and isn’t as skilled as Hargrave, he presents a solid depth option who can step into a starting position if necessary. He should be a target for the Niners before the trade deadline.
