Sam Williams Receives NFL Suspension Over Policy Breach

Sam Williams Suspended by NFL Due to Policy Violation

FRISCO, Texas — Sam William received a decision from the NFL’s front office on Monday, concluding a lengthy investigation by commissioner Roger Goodell. This announcement came a day after the Dallas Cowboys recorded their fourth straight loss to the San Francisco 49ers, a game Williams missed due to his current recovery from a torn ACL on injured reserve.

The NFL revealed that Williams has been suspended for three games without pay for violating the league’s Personal Conduct Policy.

The suspension, related to reckless driving charges against Williams in 2023, took effect before Week 8 and will extend through the Week 10 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Although Williams is on injured reserve, the suspension removes his pay for three weeks, as players on IR still receive compensation while they recover. This means he will not miss the three mentioned games when he returns in 2025.

The former second-round pick suffered the ACL injury early in training camp, prematurely ending his 2024 season.

Williams will enter his fourth year with the team facing significant stakes.
