BREAKING: Valetini and Nalaga Set to Make their Debut against Scotland

Fijian Drua Stars Set to Make Explosive Debuts as Flying Fijians Take on Scotland in Epic Showdown

Kemueli Valetini and Waqa Nalaga from the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua squad are set to make their potential debut for the Fiji Water Flying Fijians in their upcoming clash with Scotland this Sunday, having been named among the substitutes.

Head coach Mick Byrne has assembled a powerful squad, with a front row featuring Haereiti Hetet, team captain Tevita Ikanivere, and Samuela Tawake, all known for their scrummaging strength and agility.

In the second row, Isoa Nasilasila pairs with Ratu Leone Rotuisolia, aiming to assert physical dominance over Scotland’s lineouts and rucks. Ratu Meli Derenalagi and Kitione Salawa occupy the flanker roles, while Elia Canakaivata brings his athleticism to the crucial No. 8 position, ready to anchor the Fijian forwards.

The halves combination of Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz brings familiarity and control, promising quick ball distribution and strategic playmaking. Speed and flair come through on the wings with Ponipate Loganimasi on the left and former rugby league standout Vuate Karawalevu on the right.

Inia Tabuavou at inside centre and Apisalome Vota outside him ensure a strong midfield partnership, with Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula offering reliable depth as the starting fullback.

Byrne’s bench holds potential game-changers like Mesulame Dolokoto, Livai Natave, and Simi Kuruvoli, ready to inject energy and impact. Scotland will welcome the Flying Fijians for the game at 5.40 a.m. Sunday.
