One was the Clippers’ matchup, but the other focus was on the 2024 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees.
The loudest cheer of the night came when the Dodgers officially secured Game 5 of the World Series, taking home the Commissioner’s Trophy.

“Anytime a sports team, whether professional, college, or otherwise, brings a title to the city, you just have to give them credit,” Harden said. “Congrats to the Dodgers. They truly earned it.”
This marks the Dodgers’ second title in four years, but this time there were no “COVID-19” or “bubble” comments attached to it.
During the third quarter of the Clippers-Blazers game, the large Halo board inside the new Intuit Dome displayed updates, showing the final out and part of the championship celebration.

The Clippers now have a quick turnaround as they host the Phoenix Suns on Halloween. Phoenix will have the advantage of a two-day rest before the game.
