No one is exempt from being chosen for jury duty, which is a civic obligation that everyone must fulfil if they are able to. Brandon Aubrey, a kicker for the Dallas Cowboys, was recently informed that he had been called up for jury duty. Despite his best efforts to avoid serving, he was finally placed on a jury. Anyone who is capable of doing so is obliged to serve on a jury; no one is immune from being chosen.
Brandon Aubrey, a kicker for the Dallas Cowboys, was recently informed that he had been called up for jury duty. Despite his best efforts to avoid serving, he was finally placed on a jury.
He recently shared his experience of the entire process after rejoining the team. Hearing the story was eye-opening, lengthy, difficult, and heartbreaking. According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, Aubrey stated, “It was a sad story.”
Luckily for Aubrey and the Cowboys, his jury duty did not affect his performance. He managed to make it to the team’s Week 8 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, and he performed admirably, making all three of his extra-point attempts and his lone field goal attempt.
He has made the NFL’s longest field goal this season from 65 yards out, and he is 18 for 20 on field goals and 12 for 12 on extra point kicks. The Cowboys’ next three games are against the Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, and Washington Commanders. In Week 9, they travel to the Atlanta Falcons, who are leading the NFC South.
Dallas has made missing the playoffs a real possibility due to their issues, especially with stopping the run and getting yardage on the ground.
