Unfortunately, star quarterback Dak Prescott will not be available to the Dallas Cowboys for some time to come. According to ESPN, owner and general manager Jerry Jones stated that he may be placed on the Injured Reserve after suffering a hamstring injury during the Cowboys’ Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. “The Dallas Cowboys likely will place quarterback Dak Prescott on injured reserve due to the hamstring injury he sustained in Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Jerry Jones said Tuesday,” said ESPN. “Prescott would be out for at least the next four games as a result of the move. He would be eligible to return as early as Week 14 for a “Monday Night Football” game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
During his weekly interview on 105.3 The Fan, the general manager and owner of the Cowboys shared his thoughts. “We’re here for a long time,” Jones remarked. “When it could be, I wouldn’t dare make a prediction.” We’ll see how his rehabilitation goes. With a difficult game against the rival Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Dallas is currently 3-5 on the season. Prescott would miss at least four games if he were placed on the Injured Reserve. That would include the team’s next games against the New York Giants, Houston Texans, Washington Commanders, and Eagles.
Although the timing is bad, Prescott should be able to fully recover soon.
