CeeDee vs. A.J. Injury Update: Cowboys Must Prepare for Eagles Showdown

Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb faced a time crunch to be ready for the Week 10 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but fortunately, 88 moves quickly.

Lamb, who has been managing a shoulder injury that threatened to linger all season, has been practicing to assess his readiness. The good news is he seems prepared to play against the Eagles.

CeeDee shared that he has made significant strides over the past two days.

“It’s much better than it was on Sunday, I’ll say that,” Lamb said about his shoulder. “I’ve made big progress during the week, especially in the last two or three days. I’m good.”

An injured shoulder is less than ideal for a receiver who needs to catch passes from any angle. Although Lamb visibly struggled against the Atlanta Falcons, there are questions about his performance against Philadelphia.

However, Lamb – who hinted he wouldn’t need a shoulder brace for the game – has reassured fans.

“It’s more about pain tolerance,” Lamb noted. “The range of motion is there; as you saw, I played through the rest of the game [against Atlanta]. I didn’t play as well as I wanted, but it happens. It’ll take more than that to keep me out [of a game].”

Meanwhile, Eagles receiver A.J. Brown is practicing despite dealing with a knee issue. His fellow receiver, DeVonta Smith, has a hamstring concern but is expected to play.

A healthy Lamb is crucial for the Cowboys, who need Cooper Rush, starting in place of Dak Prescott (hamstring injury), to lead them to an unexpected victory.

With Lamb set for the game, even at less than 100 percent, the Cowboys need him more than ever.
