Rangers winger Václav Černý has received a call-up to the Czechia national team ahead of the upcoming November international break.

The 27-year-old has made a significant impact in Philippe Clement’s squad since his loan move from Wolfsburg this summer, and he may soon add to his 20 international caps.

Rangers announced the news on their official X account on November 8, confirming that Czechia will face Albania and Georgia in two UEFA Nations League matches.

Černý’s performances have earned him the call-up, and Clement will be watching closely, hoping his star winger stays injury-free during the international break.

This call-up comes at a time when the manager can ill afford more setbacks after Tom Lawrence’s recent injury update, which has sidelined him for four to six months. Losing Černý would be an even bigger blow to the squad.

Since joining Rangers, Černý has contributed six goals and five assists across all competitions, revitalizing his career after a challenging first season at Wolfsburg. He’s become a fan favorite, even though supporters are cautioned not to get too attached, knowing there’s no guarantee the club will make his move permanent at the end of the season.

This sentiment echoes the situation with Abdallah Sima, who shone during his time in Scotland before moving on to Brest and the Champions League.

Černý has thrived on the right wing, overcoming early challenges to impress under Clement. Fans will hope he maintains his excellent form while representing his country, though their primary concern is that he returns to Ibrox injury-free.

Supporters will be watching closely as he heads out on international duty, eagerly awaiting his return to Scotland after the break.
