George Bose Battles for Dream Spot in Fiji 7s Squad Ahead of Dubai Showdown

 

 

 

 

Fiji 7s extended squad member George Bose is fully aware of the challenges and stakes surrounding the team’s preparations, especially as several players compete fiercely for the coveted rover position. As the Fiji 7s team prepares for the HSBC World SVNS Series opener in Dubai, Bose is giving it his all to secure a spot, after two years of persistent effort and dedication.

 

 

 

 

 

With only two days left to showcase his abilities, Bose remains determined to prove he has what it takes. Acknowledging the high standards expected, he emphasizes that the selection process is not just about skill but also reflects a player’s dedication and consistent performance. “All of us in the positions have different grades, it’s not the same,” Bose explains, adding that making the team would be a testament to both his reliability and his game-day impact.

 

 

 

 

 

Originating from Navosa, Bose began his rugby journey with Yamacia and currently trains with the Lavidi Brothers, furthering his experience in the sport. This weekend, he and other hopefuls will participate in the Mataso 7s, a final trial for players to make their mark before the official squad is announced.

 

 

 

 

 

Once the final selection is made, the team will depart for Dubai on Sunday. Fiji is set to face tough competition in their pool, taking on teams from New Zealand, the United States, and Spain. With aspirations running high, Fiji’s talented lineup is ready to take on the global stage.
