Back on the North Sea coast: Red Bulls visit Bremerhaven again.

Munich has won five of their six road games thus far, scoring in each of those games. Each of the last three home games ended in a penalty shootout.

After a shootout, our team won 5:4 over the Penguins in their season opener. After two periods and a strong showing, Munich had a 4:1 lead until the home team equalized.

However, Max Kaltenhauser, who will stay coach until the end of this season, was able to celebrate a successful start behind the boards in his first game as Munich’s coach after Filip Varejcka clinched the decision in the penalty shootout.

It should come as no surprise that the top defense is possessed by the side in second position in the rankings. Only 26 stops were required of the two goalkeepers, Maximilian Franzreb and Kristers Gudlevskis, who are ranked first and second in the league’s goaltender standings, respectively.

The Penguins won 3:1 on the road in Cologne on Friday night, and Gudlevskis was only defeated once. The club led by head coach Alexander Sulzer is especially challenging to defeat at home. In eight home games, Bremerhaven has only given up eleven goals.
