Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff tied the knot with Sports Illustrated model Christen Harper during the offseason, and the couple has quickly become a beloved part of the Detroit community. Harper has openly expressed her admiration for Michigan, its seasons, and the unwavering support of Lions fans.
Passion for Charity
Harper has been actively involved with Forgotten Harvest, a non-profit dedicated to combating food insecurity in Michigan. In a September 6 interview on The Morning After with Kelly Stafford & Frank, Harper praised the organization’s impact, sharing her weekly efforts to help distribute food to families in need.
She humbly acknowledged her privilege in having time to dedicate to charity, adding:
“I am so lucky that I have this time. I’m eventually going to have kids running around and stuff. I might not have the time to do this, and then maybe I’ll need to support in other ways.”
Embracing Life in Michigan
The California native has grown fond of Michigan’s unique seasons and culture, particularly the vibrant fall.
“I just didn’t know what fall was until I moved here… I can’t wait for the leaves to change and go to an apple orchard,” she said.
Harper also noted her admiration for the dedication of Lions fans, recalling her surprise at the full stadiums even during the team’s rebuilding years.
“That takes a lot… not a lot of places would do that.”
Supporting Jared Goff
Harper continues to cheer for her husband, regularly attending Lions games and sharing her excitement on social media. Before the Lions’ recent 52-6 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, she posted a game-day outfit on Instagram, helping to promote brands through her partnerships.
With her charitable efforts, love for Michigan, and loyalty to the Lions, Harper has embraced her role as a part of the Detroit community—and perhaps even as a good luck charm for the team.
