Which players are leaving the Sydney Roosters? Full 2024 departures and arrivals lists

As many club greats depart Bondi, Trent Robinson will start a new era with the Sydney Roosters.

With the greatest attacking statistics in the league, the Chooks easily finished third on the ladder. Their long-term failure to defeat Penrith and Melbourne, however, ultimately caught up with them and prevented their experienced players from bidding farewell to the premiership, with a new beginning in sight.

Which players have left the Sydney Roosters in 2024?

The club will be severely missing the seasoned team of Luke Keary and Jarred Waerea-Hargreaves, who have won numerous premierships.

After completing a 15-year tenure with the team in 2024, JWH will join Keary in the Super League.

The former South Sydney playmaker initially signed an extension during the campaign before backflipping on his decision and announcing his retirement.

However, he then changed his mind again as he revealed he would be linking up with the Catalans Dragons in 2025.

Star centres Joseph Manu and Joseph Suaalii have also left the club in order to pursue careers in rugby union.

The Kiwi international made just shy of 200 NRL appearances for the Roosters since debuting in 2016 and established himself as one of the game’s best centres before linking up with Japanese outfit Toyota Verblitz.

Meanwhile, Sitili Tupouniua was granted an early release from his contract to link up with Canterbury and Terrell May was granted a shock release to join the Wests Tigers.
