Weather Forecast for BYU/Houston Game from KSL
PROVO, Utah – The last regular-season game of BYU’s 2024 football season will be a chilly one.
No. 19 BYU is set to face the Houston Cougars tonight at LaVell Edwards Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 p.m. (MST).
KSL meteorologist Matt Johnson shared an updated forecast for the game during Friday morning’s “KSL Today” broadcast.
BYU/Houston Weather Forecast
“It’ll be cold. Dress in layers and bundle up. Temperatures will range from 36 to 33 degrees,” said Johnson. “It’s the final [regular-season] game for the Cougars and a must-win for BYU.”
This marks BYU’s second straight home game with freezing conditions. Earlier this month, BYU played Kansas in 33-degree weather and lost. Last week, BYU experienced a much warmer 78-degree game at Arizona State.
Johnson’s “must-win” comment highlights BYU’s chances of making the Big 12 Championship. To qualify, BYU must defeat Houston and rely on Arizona State or Iowa State losing a game. If both scenarios occur, BYU will head to Arlington next week.
