One of the best playmakers in the NFL, Jahmyr Gibbs has contributed to the Detroit Lions’ top-ranked scoring attack. However, when a recent social media post seemed to divulge portions of the Lions’ playbook, head coach Dan Campbell may have given the second-year running back a reprimand. Widely shared screenshots of a tweet by Gibbs on Saturday seemed to show fellow running back Jermar Jefferson, who is on of the Lions’ practice squad and uses the same position meeting room as Gibbs, dancing or posing. A whiteboard behind Jefferson is covered in what appear to be offensive play calls and “drop-back protections,” with at least 13 readable code names for individual plays.
Campbell was taken aback when he was asked about Gibbs’ comments on Saturday. “Oh I didn’t know that,” he remarked, requesting that the reporter repeat the player’s name. “I was unaware of that. Yes, I must investigate that. I was unaware of that. Yes, I would prefer that our belongings not be seen.
