The Detroit Lions are taking steps to bolster their defense for the remainder of the season.
After losing linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez for the year during their Thanksgiving Day win over the Chicago Bears, the team also saw two defensive linemen suffer less severe injuries.
To strengthen their defensive lineup, the Lions made two key signings over the weekend. On Friday, they added linebacker Kwon Alexander

Then on Sunday, reports revealed that they had also signed safety Jamal Adams, who began the season with the Tennessee Titans.
Adams, a former Pro Bowler from 2018 to 2020, has had a notable career, earning first-team All-Pro honors once and second-team All-Pro recognition twice.
After being traded from the New York Jets to the Seattle Seahawks in 2020, Adams played 12 games in each of his first two seasons with Seattle but struggled with injuries.
He was released by the Seahawks in March and later signed with the Titans but appeared in just three games before requesting his release in October.
According to Adam Schefter, Adams sought an opportunity with a playoff contender, which could now be with the Lions.
With Detroit’s defensive injuries mounting, Adams may have a chance to contribute, though his ability to stay healthy remains a key concern as he attempts to get back on the field.
