New Report Revives Trade Buzz About Lakers Reuniting with Ex-Player

As the Lakers prepare for life after LeBron James, a reunion with Kyle Kuzma is gaining traction.

The Lakers, currently 12-8, are rumored to be considering a move for a former player who didn’t get a fair shot during his first stint with the team. Kyle Kuzma, now a borderline All-Star with the Wizards, has proven his worth as a versatile scorer and rebounder since leaving Los Angeles.

Recent reports suggest the Lakers are open to trading for Kuzma.

Lakers Eyeing Kyle Kuzma Trade for Potential Reunion

Drafted late in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft, Kuzma spent four productive years with the Lakers, showcasing his scoring and floor-stretching abilities.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype revealed, “League executives believe the 29-year-old forward is worth monitoring as a trade candidate. His skillset and declining salary make him a valuable asset, though he doesn’t align with Washington’s young core.”

This makes Kuzma a logical fit for Los Angeles, who could use a versatile scorer capable of putting up 20+ points per game.

The Lakers have reportedly been monitoring Kuzma, signaling interest in a reunion. With LeBron’s retirement on the horizon, GM Rob Pelinka must prepare for the team’s future. Bringing back Kuzma could be a step in that direction.
