The 45-year-old LaFleur accused the supporter of making throat-slit gestures at his players. ESPN stated that the Lions confirmed that they had withdrawn the fan’s season tickets. TV cameras captured portions of the exchange that occurred before to Week 14 Thursday Night Football. The Lions fan, identified as Fahad Yousif by 7 News Detroit, was on the field to hold the flag for the national anthem before kickoff at Ford Field. LaFleur approached Yousif, and the two exchanged words.

Packers players and coaches then intervened, separating the two. Detroit went on to defeat the Packers 34-21, and LaFleur was asked about the incident during a press conference. LaFleur was asked about the incident at his post-game press conference. “I’ve never been a part of something like that,” stated the man.

“He was yelling trash to our guys and flashing the throat slash symbol. “You’re trying to de-escalate the situation, and then he gets in my face.

“I thought it was pretty unsportsmanlike,” LaFleur continued. I have never witnessed that.I’ve worked in a lot of fields, and often they have considerably superior police. It was a horrible sensation to wake up, get that email, and be unable to speak with someone face-to-face. “I don’t have my chance to give my side of the story or anything.” Following the primetime victory, the Lions’ record rose to 12-1.

Green Bay lost the game 9–4 despite Josh Jacobs scoring three touchdowns. In Week 15, Detroit will host the Buffalo Bills, while on Sunday Night Football, the Packers will travel to play the Seattle Seahawks.
