Ironically, Smith spent three seasons with the Packers before joining the Lions.
Smith and the Lions face their next challenge on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills at Ford Field. Boasting an NFL-best 12-1 record, the Lions have already clinched a playoff berth for the second straight year.
Fan Incident Overshadows Lions-Packers Matchup
During the Lions-Packers game, a bizarre incident involving a fan and Packers head coach Matt LaFleur caught attention.
Recounting the pregame altercation, LaFleur explained, “A Lions fan was trash-talking our players, even giving a throat-slash gesture. When I tried to calm things down, he got in my face. It was unsportsmanlike and unacceptable. I’ve never experienced anything like it before.”
He added, “Security should’ve stepped in sooner to remove him. It was arrogant behavior.”
As a result, the fan’s season tickets have been suspended indefinitely.
