Despite being officially eliminated from the playoffs on Sunday afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys continued to play well on Sunday night.

The Cowboys managed to escape with a 26-24 victory to move to 7-8 on the season, even though they were eliminated from the playoffs and faced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a squad that had everything to play for. Cooper Rush, the quarterback, finished the game with 26 of 35 passes for 292 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions.

After the game, Rush told ESPN, “There are a lot of players with a lot of wins in that locker room the last three seasons.” “So, we are aware of its purpose. We are aware of our competitive nature, and winning is the goal when playing football.

Rush responded bluntly when asked what the Cowboys are playing for now that they have been knocked out of the playoffs. “Everything,” he described. “This is your life, after all. This is the ball. You do this. You’re compensated for it. People don’t seem to require much more encouragement.

While he was busy taking care of the Buccaneers on the field, his wife, Lauryn was right there cheering him on. She shared a brief social media picture showcasing her game-appropriate attire after spending the evening reflecting on the significant victory. She wrote, “Winter Whites,” in the post.

Rush and the Cowboys play the Philadelphia Eagles first in their final game of the season, which pits them against two opponents in the NFC East division. It’s unclear if star quarterback Jalen Hurts will play after suffering a concussion against the Washington Commanders on Sunday afternoon. On Sunday, Dallas will play the Commanders, who secured a postseason berth, to close up the season.
