Prior to their Monday Night Football game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Detroit Lions have made a roster change. Chris Smith, a defensive lineman, was re-signed by the Lions to the practice squad, the team announced on Christmas Day via X (previously Twitter).
Smith, a former member of the Lions, will now provide Detroit’s defensive line more depth as they get ready for the pivotal Week 17 matchup. This acquisition strengthens the Lions’ defence for the forthcoming game as they aim to maintain their pursuit of the NFC North championship and the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Smith has recorded two tackles in three games with the Lions in 2024.
