Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are creating something special in the Big 12. Colorado ended the 2024 collegiate football season 9-4, ranking fourth in the Big 12 rankings. Colorado finished the season with a loss against the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl.

Following their 36-14 setback to the Big 12 rival, the Buffaloes have moved on, hoping to rebuild the roster for another push in 2025. On Wednesday, Colorado confirmed the official signing of transfer wide receiver Joseph Williams. “Adding more talent,” the Colorado Buffaloes’ official social media account stated.

Williams joined the Buffaloes after spending one season with the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. Williams scored five touchdowns and gained 588 yards on 30 receptions during his one season at Tulsa.

The 6-foot-2 Texas native was a huge threat for the Golden Hurricanes’ offence, finishing his first collegiate season as the AAC Freshman of the Year.

Williams committed to Tulsa as a three-star prospect in high school, ranking as the No. 119 ATH and No. 1,362 overall player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite.

Before signing with the Golden Hurricanes, Williams received numerous offers from Oregon State, Arkansas State, San Diego State, and Washington State.
