Utah State Football Adds BYU OL Transfer From Portal
LOGAN, Utah – Since the winter transfer portal opened on December 9, 2024, and closed on December 28, 2024, players nationwide have been leaving their teams to find new opportunities. Meanwhile, programs have actively recruited these athletes to address roster needs and enhance their lineups.
The transfer portal is especially vital for a program like the Utah State Aggies, who recently brought in Bronco Mendenhall and an entirely new coaching staff.

Former Weber State Wildcat and BYU Cougar Jake Eichorn entered the transfer portal in late December. He has now committed to Utah State, marking his third stop in the Beehive State as he prepares for his final season of eligibility.
Eichorn spent two seasons with the Weber State Wildcats from 2021-2023. After his time in Ogden, he entered the portal as a three-star interior offensive lineman and made the move to BYU in Provo, where he served as a backup offensive lineman for a year.
In his third transfer, Eichorn has now landed in Logan to play under first-year head coach Bronco Mendenhall.
