McKay Madsen Commitment Decision: How to Watch
McKay Madsen, All-American Bowl, How to Watch, BYU…
SALT LAKE CITY – Will BYU football secure another commitment at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio?
Last year, BYU added Bountiful High standout Faletau Satuala during the All-American Bowl. This year, they are among the finalists for Clovis, California athlete McKay Madsen.
The 6-foot-1, 230-pound athlete will announce his college decision during the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl at the Alamodome on Saturday, January 11. The announcement will air on KSL 5 TV in Salt Lake City and NBC affiliates nationwide.
The Navy All-American Bowl kicks off at 11 a.m. (MST).
Madsen’s finalists include BYU, Oregon, and UCLA. Analysts predict Madsen will choose the Oregon Ducks.
BYU extended an offer to Madsen last April. He is seen as a versatile prospect who could play linebacker or running back. Madsen visited Provo officially in June and attended games at LaVell Edwards Stadium for Southern Illinois and Kansas.
According to 247Sports, Madsen is ranked 197th in the 2025 recruiting class and 433rd nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Madsen is one of five players announcing their commitments during the Navy All-American game. The others are D’Shaun Ford (RB, Opelousas, Louisiana), Justin Hasenhuetl (OL, Rabun Gap, Georgia), Cameron Sparks (WR, Chattanooga, Tennessee), and T’Andre Waverly (TE, Mukilteo, Washington).
In addition to football, Madsen has competed in track and field events such as shot put and discus.
Madsen, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, plans to serve a two-year mission for the Church starting this summer.
