The Detroit Lions, after an impressive 15-2 regular season that earned them the NFC’s No. 1 seed, now have clarity on their Divisional Round opponent.
Earlier today, the No. 7 seed Green Bay Packers were eliminated by the No. 2 seed Philadelphia Eagles in a 22-10 Wild Card loss.
With the Packers out of the playoffs, the Lions will not face their NFC North rival in the next round.
Despite this, the Lions’ next opponent remains undecided.
They will host either the Washington Commanders or the winner of Monday night’s Wild Card matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings.
If the Commanders defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday night, they will travel to Detroit.
However, if Washington loses, the Lions will take on whichever team wins the Rams-Vikings clash.
Regardless of the opponent, the Lions are set to play at Ford Field, benefiting from their top seed in the conference.
Having secured back-to-back NFC North titles, the Lions are determined to make a deep playoff run.
