Lions’ Aaron Glenn Sends Blunt 5-Word Message to NFL Teams Amid Head Coaching Buzz
The Detroit Lions face a tough challenge this weekend at Ford Field against rising star Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders. Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is under the spotlight, with head coaching interviews adding to the intrigue.
On Wednesday, Glenn delivered a clear message to NFL general managers and Lions fans while discussing his approach to Saturday’s game and his potential future as a head coach after Detroit’s playoff journey concludes.
With 15 years as a player and nearly 10 years as a coach or coordinator, Glenn shared his thoughts during a recent press conference.
“My takeaway from all these interviews is that I’ll be myself, and either you like it or you don’t,” Glenn said about his head coaching prospects.
His confident outlook extended to his potential return to Detroit next season, depending on available opportunities.
Glenn declined a chance to interview with the New England Patriots, signaling satisfaction with his current role if no suitable options arise this offseason.
“If you don’t, that’s fine. I keep saying, I have a great job here in Detroit,” Glenn stated. He added that he enjoyed the interview process but is now focused on the Lions’ divisional round playoff matchup against the Commanders.
The Lions are favored by 9.5 points and are just two wins away from their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history.
