Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian drops 3-word reaction to Commanders QB Jayden Daniels taking sly jibe at Lions star during jersey swap

Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, recently reacted to Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels’ subtle dig at Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold.

This came after the Commanders’ impressive 45-31 victory over the Lions in the divisional round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs.

Daniels had an exceptional performance in the game, throwing for 299 yards with two touchdowns and rushing for 51 yards on 16 carries.

On the “Kicking It with Dee” podcast, hosted by Donald De La Haye (aka Deestroying), it was revealed that the 24-year-old quarterback took a jab at Arnold during their post-game jersey swap.

“You know what’s funny? I’m cool with Terrion Arnold. He’s a DB for the Lions, and he told me he swapped jerseys with Jayden Daniels after the game. And on the bottom of the jersey, Jayden Daniels wrote: Cancun on 3—1, 2, 3. And then he swapped jerseys,” De La Haye said.

For context, Cancun is often referenced as a joke aimed at players or teams eliminated from the playoffs, suggesting their season is over and they’re headed for vacation.

The phrase originates from former NBA player Nick Van Exel during the 1998 Conference Finals.

Serena Williams’ husband, Ohanian, an enthusiastic Washington Commanders fan, shared his reaction to the incident, writing:

The Commanders now advance to Sunday’s NFC Championship Game, where they will face the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles secured their spot after defeating the Los Angeles Rams 28-22 in their most recent matchup.

In addition to his business ventures, Alexis Ohanian has pursued various interests, including practicing golf and collecting memorabilia.

The 41-year-old combined his love for sports and collectibles by helping his father create a wall filled with photos and memorabilia of the Washington Commanders. The collection included a jersey of the late Sean Taylor.

Ohanian shared a picture of the wall on X, stating that he had more items to add for his father.

“This is a wall in the man cave I helped build my dad in his home… I’ve got some more collectibles on the way for him…”

The Reddit co-founder frequently shares his reactions to the Commanders’ performances throughout the season.

He also expressed pride in successfully predicting the rise of the Washington Commanders and wide receiver Terry McLaurin.
