BYU Football Secures Two Commitments Following Recruiting Weekend
BYU Football, Kalani Sitake, Commitments…
PROVO, Utah – BYU football wrapped up a productive recruiting weekend.
The Cougars hosted Junior Day for top 2026 prospects while also bringing in 2025 recruits for official visits to make a final push ahead of Signing Day on February 5.
The weekend resulted in two new commitments for BYU football.
Jordyn Criss from Arlington, Texas, Commits
The new commits include cornerback Jordyn Criss from Arlington, Texas, and defensive back Landan Goff from Lone Peak High School.
The 6-foot-2, 165-pound Criss chose BYU over offers from Texas State, Bowling Green, Southern Utah, and other FCS programs.
BYU entered the race for Criss earlier this month and quickly scheduled his official visit. Criss sat front row in BYU’s student section, “The ROC,” during Saturday’s basketball game against Cincinnati.
On Sunday, Criss announced his commitment on X, writing, “IM HOME.”
Criss fits the mold of successful BYU cornerbacks from the past decade. He has strong measurables and a track and field background, running 10.83 in the 100 meters last April.
Lone Peak’s Landan Goff Joins BYU Football
Landan Goff chose BYU over offers from Navy, Idaho State, and Utah Tech.
After his official visit, Goff wrote on X, “After my official visit this weekend I’m excited to announce my commitment to [BYU football]. Thank you [Kalani Sitake] and [Jay Hill]. Let’s go win a national championship!!”
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound athlete earned First-Team All-State honors in 6A from the Deseret News.
This past season, Goff recorded 55 tackles and seven interceptions for a Lone Peak team that reached the State Championship in November.
BYU now has 22 commitments in its 2025 recruiting class, with 18 signed in December and the remaining set to sign in February.
