News Report: David Shaw set to join Detroit Lions as passing game coordinator.

Shaw will take on the role of offensive line coach for the Jets.
Offensive line coach Hank Fraley, quarterbacks coach Mark Brunell, and running backs coach/assistant head coach Scottie Montgomery will continue their contracts.
At 52, Shaw brings over thirty years of coaching experience across both the NFL and college football. He served as offensive coordinator under Jim Harbaugh at Stanford before becoming the head coach there, with previous NFL stops at the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, and Raiders.
Last season, the Lions led the NFL in scoring with an average of 33.2 points per game and had the second-ranked passing offense in the league, averaging 263.2 yards per game. Lions head coach Dan Campbell stated after the season that he hoped to maintain much of the same playbook and terminology that contributed to quarterback Jared Goff receiving MVP votes this season.
Goff achieved career highs, including 37 touchdown passes and a 72.4% completion rate this year.
Morton, officially named the Lions’ coordinator on Thursday, played a key role in helping Johnson design the offense during his 2022 season with Detroit.
