The NFC secured the Pro Bowl for the third consecutive year on Sunday, defeating the AFC 76-63.

Subsequently, a duo of NFC North stars claimed the Pro Bowl MVP honors.

Detroit Lions standout quarterback Jared Goff received the Offensive MVP award, while Minnesota Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. earned the Defensive MVP title.

Murphy, making his Pro Bowl debut, had a standout performance that included a pick-six. Later, he conveyed his appreciation for having the opportunity to compete with the league’s top players for the first time.

“Clearly, it’s my first Pro Bowl, and I feel very fortunate to be here,” he mentioned. “However, the defense appeared strong today… the players on the defense were on their game today, we enjoyed ourselves, and Coach Eli [Manning] prepared us well.”

This year marked Goff’s fourth Pro Bowl appearance, yet it was the first occasion he received MVP honors. He recorded 126 passing yards and three touchdowns during the victory.

“It was enjoyable, it was truly an excellent week,” Goff stated. “I believed they did an excellent job assembling it here in Orlando.” It was enjoyable. Coach Eli did an incredible job for us, guiding us throughout the week.

Murphy is finishing the most successful season of his career, accumulating 81 tackles, one forced fumble, 14 passes defended, and six interceptions. If he maintains his momentum from the impressive year, he might be heading toward another Pro Bowl selection in 2026.

Goff also enjoyed an outstanding season, passing for 4,629 yards and achieving a career-best 37 touchdowns as he guided the Lions to a 15-2 record.

Although Murphy and Goff would prefer to be readying for the Super Bowl, earning MVP recognition at the Pro Bowl is a decent way to conclude the season.
