According to Zenitz, Sproles has attracted interest from NFL and college teams. It’s unspecified which teams those were and whether he interviewed with any of them. There is no indication of which role he is anticipated to interview for either.

The Lions continue to employ running backs coach and assistant head coach Scottie Montgomery, suggesting it could pertain to a role for an assistant. The Lions did not have a role for an assistant running backs coach last season, although they have previously.

We’ll observe how things develop and whether Sproles becomes part of the team. David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs would greatly benefit from having his intelligence nearby.
