After kicking off the Pro Bowl Games weekend with an impressive performance, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff wrapped it up in similar fashion — this time with some hardware.
The NFC triumphed over the AFC 56-50 in the annual flag football game, with Goff earning Offensive MVP honors. Defensive back Byron Murphy, who plays for the Minnesota Vikings, a division rival of the Lions, was Goff’s Pro Bowl teammate and claimed Defensive MVP honors.
Goff, a four-time Pro Bowler, was his usual efficient self, completing 10 of 11 passes for 126 yards and three touchdowns.
Including scores from the skills competition, the NFC emerged with a 76-63 edge over the AFC.
The Pro Bowl Games, held in Orlando this year, kicked off on Thursday with various skills events. Goff started strong by winning the Passing the Test throwing accuracy competition, defeating Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold.
On Friday, Goff and his wife, Christen, were revealed as part of an investment group, led by Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores, aiming to bring a WNBA franchise back to Detroit.
