Jared Goff faces an important offseason approaching.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, the quarterback of the Detroit Lions and his wife, Christen, are anticipating the arrival of their first child this offseason. The pair were seen together on the red carpet prior to NFL Honors on Thursday evening.
Goff has reached the finals for both the NFL MVP and the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award during Thursday night’s NFL Honors.
He just finished one of the finest seasons of his career, accumulating 4,629 passing yards and a personal best of 37 touchdowns, guiding the Lions to a 15-2 record. Although Goff and Detroit didn’t succeed in the postseason, being defeated by the Washington Commanders in the divisional round, it was another year of significant progress for the team.
Goff will have a lot of tasks ahead this offseason to maintain his fitness and get ready for the demands of another season, but he must also juggle his football obligations with the duties of being a father.
Maybe the arrival of their first child will inspire Goff to have another MVP-worthy season.
