The NFL keeps growing its global presence. Following the recent announcement of a 2026 regular-season game in Australia, the league has disclosed that a game will take place in Ireland in 2025.
Unfortunately, the Detroit Lions will not participate in the journey to Croke Park Stadium in Dublin for the match. The Pittsburgh Steelers have been assigned as the host team for the inaugural NFL game in Ireland. Detroit and Pittsburgh are set to compete in 2025, but the match will take place at Ford Field in Ireland.
Initial rumors suggest that the Green Bay Packers may be Pittsburgh’s opponent on their trip to Ireland. The formal notification of the timetable will arrive later this offseason.
