Aidan Hutchinson’s 9-Word Message Sparks Myles Garrett’s Return to Lions Speculation

Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson recently drew attention with a workout video showing him sprinting down a practice field, raising expectations for a big 2025 season.

Hutchinson’s defensive line mates have yet to be finalized, as the NFL draft and free agency remain upcoming.

One player who could potentially join the Lions is Cleveland Browns star pass rusher Myles Garrett, who has been linked to Detroit in trade rumors lately.

On Wednesday, video footage emerged of Hutchinson sharing his thoughts, including a direct comment on the possibility of teaming up with Garrett and what it could mean for the Lions’ Super Bowl aspirations.

“If Myles and I teamed up, it’d be lethal,” Hutchinson said. “I’d be excited to play alongside him,” the former Wolverines star added.

Hutchinson made these remarks at the NFL Honors on Feb. 6. They were shared on social media Wednesday amid reports that the Browns might be open to trading their star pass rusher.

The man known as ‘Hutch’ also mentioned his good relationship with Garrett, noting they spoke at the event.

“We were chatting at the Honors about what might be,” Hutchinson said. “Our entire D-line would be totally elevated, and…That would be a terrifying defensive line.”

Garrett, a former Texas A&M star, had 14 sacks, three forced fumbles, and 40 solo tackles for the Browns last season.

The 2017 No. 1 overall pick’s potential trade to Detroit seems unlikely, as the Washington Commanders are currently the favorites to acquire the former Big 12 standout.
