Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Jalon Walker is drawing comparisons to Micah Parsons, a generational talent and rare player who often garners attention when he enters the draft conversation. According to two-time Super Bowl champion Booger McFarland, there’s a potential player in the 2025 NFL Draft class who could be similar to Parsons.

While speaking on ESPN’s SportsCenter, McFarland shared his insights on Walker, who has been linked to the Dallas Cowboys in mock drafts. McFarland praised Walker, calling him “this year’s Micah Parsons.”

He said, “I don’t know what his measurements will be, but I can tell you this: If you measure his impact and playmaking skills, you can use him anywhere, whether off the ball or on the edge. He’s this year’s version of Micah Parsons.”

McFarland believes Walker will have a major impact on offenses from day one. He mentioned that Walker could ideally play as a 3-4 outside linebacker or at the edge, emphasizing his versatility.

Although the comparison is bold, Walker’s performance on film is impressive. In 2024, Walker made 61 tackles, 6.5 assists, and recovered two fumbles. Over three years at Georgia, he accumulated 12.5 sacks.

If Walker joins the Cowboys, being mentored by the player he’s being compared to might be the perfect scenario.

The 2025 NFL Draft will take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The first round is scheduled for Thursday, April 24, followed by Rounds 2 and 3 on Friday, April 25, with the final rounds concluding on Saturday, April 26.
