We might never learn how Steve Smith intended to spend his Saturday, but it turned out to be quite eventful.
The ex-Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens wide receiver, now an NFL Network analyst, faced numerous infidelity claims from what seems to be the spouse of the other woman, along with purported evidence. Smith has been wedded since 2000 and has four kids.
The first shot was fired late Friday evening when an X account responded to a video of Smith golfing, asking simply if his wife was aware that he was having an affair with the account owner’s wife.
The account went on to share a screenshot of purported sexts between Smith and the wife of the accuser, citing it in responses to several news organizations and major accounts, including both of Smith’s prior teams and, inexplicably, Kanye West.
Additional information was shared in another tweet where the account mentioned several of Smith’s sponsors, including Yeti Coolers and TaylorMade. The accuser claimed that his wife encountered Smith while employed by the Ravens’ marching band.
Additionally, there was a video featuring the account holder appearing to address Smith over the phone, during which Smith keeps repeating, “I’m sorry,” alongside a photo of an unclothed Smith in the bathroom with a unicorn graphic obscuring his waist.
Therefore, interpret all of that as you wish. There exists someone who evidently has an issue with Smith and isn’t hesitant to draw focus to his personal life.
Smith has been retired from the NFL since the 2016 season and still holds the record for the most receiving yards in Panthers history. Although standing at just 5-foot-9, Smith achieved five Pro Bowl selections and gained recognition across the league for his intense demeanor.
Since his retirement, Smith has frequently appeared on NFL Network and has been outspoken with his views.
