According to the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit Red Wings will be missing Michael Rasmussen and Andrew Copp for at least their next game, with both centers sidelined due to injuries.

2 Centers Out for Detroit Red Wings
Rasmussen: Suffered a head injury and is listed as day-to-day.
Copp: Dealing with an undisclosed injury, and while coach Todd McLellan awaits more details, he mentioned, “at this point, it seems like it’ll be a longer-term issue than we initially expected.”
Roster Changes:
Sheldon Dries has been called up to add depth at center.
Christian Fischer is available to play both center or wing.
Tyler Motte returned to the lineup on Sunday to help cover Copp’s absence, with Copp placed on injured reserve on Monday.
Both injuries took place over the weekend—Copp was hurt during a scrum with the Wild on Saturday, and Rasmussen took a high hit from Anaheim’s Trevor Zegras on Sunday.

Coach’s Take:
“An unfortunate injury for one creates an opportunity for another,” said McLellan. “That’s the reality. We have to work with what we have.”
The Red Wings (29-22-6) will face the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday without these key players, aiming to continue their playoff chase despite the setback.
