Andy Reid recently spoke to Taylor Swift after she faced boos at Super Bowl LIX—and the Kansas City Chiefs head coach conveyed a strong message in doing so.
On February 25, Reid chatted with Mike Florio and Chris Simms at the NFL Scouting Combine 2025 for NFL on NBC.
“She is a nice girl.” “She deals with the entire situation correctly,” the 66-year-old coach remarked. “I mean, that’s a difficult situation.” “However, she manages it exceptionally well.”
Furthermore, Reid expressed admiration for her boyfriend who plays tight end.
“Kelce, in my opinion, manages it exceptionally well,” he remarked. “She’s included in the team, and along with the other girlfriends and wives, they contribute to it.” “And that is an integral part of the procedure.”
In the past, Reid has praised both Kelce and Swift for their handling of the media excitement regarding their relationship and the pop star’s appearances at Chiefs games.
He responded to rumors that Swift was a distraction for Kelce in September 2024 after a period of poor performance on the field.
“I understand folks are claiming he’s aged or that he has various distractions, but defenses don’t see it that way,” Reid stated at a press conference on Sept. 25, according to Fox News. “Trav is doing well.” He simply continues to be Trav. He puts in a tremendous amount of effort. He hasn’t missed a beat. “He’s focused.”
In February 2024, Reid became famous for his remarks about Swift making homemade treats for Chiefs players.
“Sort of secretly, she enjoys cooking, so she prepared these homemade Pop Tarts for the offensive linemen,” he informed NBC Sports. “Thus, it was finished… She was aware of exactly where to head.”
Regardless of whether Kelce declares his retirement after the 2024–25 NFL season, it appears that Swift has won over Reid as a lifelong supporter.
