Lakers’ Austin Reaves Suffers Calf Injury, Out Against Clippers
California, USA – Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves (15) attempts a pass while being defended by Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley (10) during the second quarter at Crypto.com Arena.
Lakers guard Austin Reaves was sidelined for Friday’s home game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to soreness in his right calf after logging nine minutes in the first quarter.
According to an ESPN report, Reaves is scheduled for an MRI on his calf on Saturday.
Before exiting, Reaves tallied six points, knocking down two three-pointers. The Lakers were already missing forward Rui Hachimura, who was out with a left knee strain.
The 26-year-old entered Friday’s matchup posting career-highs of 19.2 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.3 rebounds across 51 games—all as a starter—this season.
A former Oklahoma Sooner who went undrafted, Reaves had career averages of 13.8 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.7 rebounds in 258 games (149 starts) over four seasons with Los Angeles.
