The Los Angeles Rams have been performing at a high level under Matthew Stafford’s leadership in recent years, but his future with the team was recently uncertain.
Rumors began circulating after the NFL season suggesting that Matthew Stafford might leave, with speculations linking him to teams like the Las Vegas Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, and other franchises around the league. However, Stafford will be staying with the Rams for the next season.
After restructuring his contract, the Rams confirmed his return on social media.
Matthew Stafford’s wife shared a photo of the quarterback with the caption, “No place like home.”
Fox Sports sideline reporter Erin Andrews left a comment on Kelly Stafford’s post, reacting with two red heart emojis.
Matthew Stafford ended the season with 20 touchdowns, 3,762 passing yards, and a 65.8 completion percentage.
He helped lead the Rams to an 11-8 record, defeating the Minnesota Vikings 27-9 in the Wild Card Round, before losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 28-22 in the Divisional Round.
Although Stafford is in the latter stages of his NFL career, he continues to perform at a high level for the Rams. His restructured contract, a four-year, $160 million deal, will run through the 2026 season.
