Micah Parsons is having a tough time.
The Dallas Cowboys star has watched as his team remains largely inactive in improving its roster, while other franchises across the NFL spend heavily on free agents and complete major trades. At the same time, he has also seen multiple teammates depart.
On Monday morning, Parsons congratulated cornerback Jourdan Lewis on securing a three-year, $30 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Later that night, former Cowboys defensive end Chauncey Golston inked a three-year, $19.5 million deal with the New York Giants. Parsons had a somber response to the news.
He reacted by tweeting two emojis along with the word “dam.”
The Cowboys’ minimal activity in free agency has left their fanbase frustrated. Their only significant acquisition was running back Javonte Williams, who signed a one-year, $3 million contract. Aside from that, they re-signed Osa Odighizuwa, Marquese Bell, long snapper Trent Sieg, and cornerback C.J. Goodwin.
Losing Golston and Lewis is a major blow. Golston posted 56 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 2024, while Lewis has been a key component of Dallas’ secondary since being drafted by the team in 2017.
