Lions’ Terrion Arnold Criticizes NFL for Latest Decision on Teammate Brian Branch
The Detroit Lions’ secondary was one of the league’s most dynamic and underrated units last season but faltered in the playoffs as injuries took a toll on the defense.
Among Detroit’s key contributors were Brian Branch, a former second-round pick from Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide, and Terrion Arnold, a first-round selection who previously played alongside Branch in Tuscaloosa.
Despite their efforts to hold down the fort amid mounting injuries, Branch and Arnold couldn’t quite push their team past its postseason struggles.
On Wednesday, Arnold voiced his support for Branch, suggesting that his career trajectory could mirror that of fellow defensive back Kerby Joseph, at least when it comes to individual recognition.
“Brian Branch will be an All-Pro next season,” a Lions X page recently posted, accompanied by a sleeping face emoji.
Arnold replied candidly, sharing his thoughts on Branch’s 2024 campaign in Detroit.
Next season, the Lions’ secondary will undergo changes, but those adjustments could prove beneficial.
Detroit bolstered its defense by adding former Jets standout DJ Reed at cornerback and may see a breakout year from former draft pick Ennis Rakestraw under head coach Dan Campbell.
