KANSAS CITY, Missouri —
Although they didn’t secure victory in this year’s Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs have received an invitation to the White House.
President Donald Trump informed OutKick the Show that he would welcome the Chiefs to celebrate their Super Bowl victory in 2020.
The Chiefs could not attend their White House visit at that time because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Trump expressed his desire to compensate the team that secured Kansas City’s first NFL championship in five decades.
“We’re going to have the Kansas City Chiefs next since they skipped their turn due to COVID,” Trump said to OutKick the Show.
The news has not been confirmed by the team.
The Philadelphia Eagles, triumphant over the Chiefs in this year’s Super Bowl, are anticipated to go to the White House in late April.
