In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the 250MX class, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing has announced that it will expand to a three-rider lineup for the final two rounds of the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship. The team is set to introduce top amateur prospect Landon Gibson into the professional ranks, giving him the opportunity to race at Unadilla and Budds Creek as he makes his highly anticipated debut in the premier outdoor series.

The 17-year-old Gibson has been one of the standout performers in the amateur scene over the past few seasons, building a strong reputation through consistent performances and raw speed. After a dominant showing at the 2025 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s, where he secured titles in both the 250 B and Schoolboy 2 classes, Gibson has quickly emerged as one of the most sought-after young talents in American motocross.

Gibson’s call-up comes as Rockstar Energy Husqvarna looks to build momentum heading into the offseason and provide valuable experience for a rider seen as a cornerstone of the team’s future. The decision to bring him in early gives both rider and team a chance to evaluate chemistry, performance, and development needs at the highest level of competition.

“We’re excited to give Landon this opportunity to get his feet wet in the pro ranks,” said Nathan Ramsey, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Team Manager. “He’s shown he has the talent, work ethic, and mindset to be successful. These final two rounds will be a great learning experience for him, and we’re confident he’ll represent the team well as he transitions into the next stage of his career.”

Gibson will line up alongside full-time 250MX riders Casey Cochran and Talon Hawkins, forming a youthful and promising trio for the closing rounds of the season. While both Cochran and Hawkins have shown flashes of speed and top-10 potential throughout the 2025 Pro Motocross campaign, the addition of Gibson brings fresh energy and attention to the squad.

The choice to debut Gibson at Unadilla and Budds Creek is no accident. Unadilla’s historic, high-speed layout in New York offers a mix of technical challenge and wide-open racing that will test Gibson’s adaptability, while Budds Creek’s more flowing terrain and elevation changes present an excellent platform for a developing rider to show his capabilities under pressure.

Gibson, who hails from Georgia, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity and gratitude for the chance to take this next step with one of the sport’s most established factory programs.

“I’ve been working toward this moment for as long as I can remember,” said Gibson. “To get the chance to race with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna at Unadilla and Budds Creek is a dream come true. I know it’s going to be a big jump from amateur to pro, but I’m ready to learn, push myself, and take in as much as I can. Huge thanks to everyone who’s helped me get here.”

Gibson has already spent time testing with the team in preparation for his debut, adapting to the FC 250 and learning the rigors of a full factory setup. Early feedback from the team has been positive, with insiders noting his maturity, willingness to learn, and raw pace as standout attributes.

As the 2025 Pro Motocross season draws to a close, all eyes will be on Gibson’s debut, as fans and industry insiders alike look to see how the rising star stacks up against the best 250 riders in the country. For Rockstar Energy Husqvarna, it’s not just about the immediate results, but about investing in the future—and Gibson’s arrival marks a bold step forward in that direction.
