Detroit Lions cornerback Amik Robertson commented for the first time after his serious arm injury incurred during the game against the Washington Commanders.<\/p>\n

In the most recent episode of The Black Team Broadcast, Robertson shared his initial response when he was injured early in the game.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old sustained a fractured arm early in the divisional round playoff game against Washington at Ford Field.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“I didn\u2019t feel anything.” I attended the game, and when he struck me, I fell to the floor. “I struck the ground and it felt like a jolt, the tingling,” Robertson described. “I’m shifting my hands, I’m lying on my side shifting my hands.” I’m thinking, ‘Okay, I’m fine.’ I’m shifting my shoulder, I sense a crunching. I can’t truly sense pain, but I can perceive crunching.<\/p>\n

“The viral clip where I flipped over and attempted to move my arm along, that thing isn\u2019t budging.” “That’s when I sensed the break,” Robertson added. “I instructed Kerby, ‘Have them come retrieve me.'” I stood up; they sort of popped it a little. They put my arm in place. I\u2019m thinking, \u2018Wow, I believe it\u2019s damaged.\u2019 They escorted me to the locker room. I won’t pretend, I was heartbroken, I thought, ‘Wow, I’m finished.’ I won\u2019t sugarcoat it; I was extremely angry, man. Injured dog, furious as can be.<\/p>\n
During the almost 90-minute interview, Robertson discussed how he quickly adjusted to the highly physical routines with his new team. He mentioned that linebacker Jack Campbell almost caused him a concussion at the start of the season.<\/p>\n

The co-hosts obviously shared a good relationship with the Lions cornerback, as one of them humorously inquired how guilty Robertson felt, given that it was solely his responsibility for the Lions’ loss, preventing them from reaching the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

Robertson mentioned that he gained the admiration of the new Bears head coach Ben Johnson because of his competitive spirit throughout the season at Lions practice.<\/p>\n

Though he found it surprising to see Johnson depart for the Bears, the seasoned defensive back stated he could only extend his best wishes. He indicated it was naturally anticipated that both Johnson and Aaron Glenn would eventually take on NFL head coaching roles.<\/p>\n
