Detroit Lions cornerback Amik Robertson addressed the media for the first time after his serious arm injury sustained in the game against the Washington Commanders.<\/p>\n

In the most recent episode of The Black Team Broadcast, Robertson talked about his initial response when he was injured early in the match.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old experienced a broken arm very early in the playoff game against Washington at Ford Field during the divisional round.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t feel anything.\u201d I attended the ball, and when he struck me, I fell to the ground. “I struck the ground and felt a sting, the numbness,” Robertson described. “I’m waving my hands, lying on my side waving my hands, thinking, ‘Okay, I’m alright.'” I’m shifting my shoulder, and I sense a crunching. I don’t truly sense pain, but I can perceive crunching.<\/p>\n

“The viral clip where I flipped over and attempted to take my arm along, that thing isn\u2019t budging.” “That’s when I sensed the breaking,” Robertson added. “I instructed Kerby, ‘Advise them to come and fetch me.'” I got up, and they sort of inflated it slightly. They placed my arm in position. I\u2019m thinking, \u2018Wow, I believe it\u2019s damaged.\u2019 They accompanied me to the locker room. I won\u2019t pretend, I was crushed, I thought, \u2018Wow, I\u2019m finished.\u2019 I won\u2019t pretend, I was furious, man. Injured dog, furious as ever.<\/p>\n
During the almost 90-minute interview, Robertson explained how he adjusted quickly to the highly physical training sessions. He mentioned that linebacker Jack Campbell almost gave him a concussion at the start of the season.<\/p>\n

The co-hosts obviously had a connection with the Lions cornerback, as one of them humorously inquired of Robertson how guilty he felt, given it was solely his mistake that caused the Lions\u2019 defeat, preventing them from reaching the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

Robertson stated that he gained the admiration of newly appointed Bears head coach Ben Johnson because of his competitive spirit throughout the season during Lions practice.<\/p>\n

Although he found it surprising that Johnson left for the Bears, the experienced defensive back conveyed that he could only wish him the best. He indicated that it was naturally anticipated both Johnson and Aaron Glenn would ultimately become head coaches in the NFL.<\/p>\n
