The Milwaukee Bucks suffered a 144-118 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, dropping their record to 26-20. After playing four straight games on the road in the West, Milwaukee will head back home on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Giannis Antetokounmpo Leads the Bucks in Loss Against Spurs<\/p>\n
Despite the loss, Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered a strong performance with 35 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, and a block. Damian Lillard, recently named to his ninth All-Star team, added 22 points, three rebounds, seven assists, and a block. Khris Middleton also contributed 21 points, four rebounds, two assists, and a block off the bench, shooting 8\/9 from the field. However, the rest of the team struggled, and Milwaukee appeared fatigued for much of the game.<\/p>\n
Tempers flared late in the contest, though, when a controversial play took place.<\/p>\n
Giannis Antetokounmpo Tripped by Chris Paul During Game<\/p>\n
In the final moments of the game, Giannis drove to the basket but was tripped by Spurs guard Chris Paul, known for similar incidents in his career. The two-time NBA MVP was visibly upset, confronting Paul and telling him to meet him after the game.<\/p>\n
Once the game ended, the two exchanged words, but Paul did not approach Giannis. The Greek Freak stood his ground, saying, \u201cI\u2019m right here,\u201d but Paul stayed back, keeping his teammates and Bucks players between them.<\/p>\n

After the game, Giannis addressed the situation with reporters, saying, \u201cThey haven\u2019t tried me. You gotta try me. People that know me, they don\u2019t try me. If you try me, it\u2019s a different side. Yeah. So if you try me, you\u2019re going to get that different side of me.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued, \u201cBut yeah, okay, at the end of the day, like, we\u2019re all men, I think we all respect each other. And if words cross the line, then there\u2019s gotta be consequences. At the end of the day, like, I really, I don\u2019t say that much. I don\u2019t say much. I try to play the game the right way.\u201d<\/p>\n
He concluded, \u201cYeah, but enough is enough. Like if I feel like you\u2019re putting my livelihood and my career and my body in jeopardy, in danger, enough\u2019s enough, brother. I have a family to feed. And what makes you laugh can also make you cry sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Spurs and Bucks won\u2019t meet again this season, which may be for the best, considering the heightened tension between the two teams.<\/p>\n
