The 2024-2025 MLB offseason is almost complete, and the Cardinals have made minimal moves. While the team has signed some minor-league players, there has been little activity in terms of trades or free-agent acquisitions.<\/p>\n
This was expected. At the club\u2019s season-ending press conference, both John Mozeliak and Bill DeWitt Jr. made it clear that this offseason would differ from previous ones, where the team addressed roster gaps through veteran free agents, significant trades, and took steps toward fully competing.<\/p>\n
However, some improvements have been made. Chaim Bloom has been working on strengthening the team\u2019s player development system.
