National Signing Day Recap for BYU Football<\/p>\n
BYU revealed its latest group of recruits on Wednesday, showcasing a new batch of future Cougars.<\/p>\n
February 2025\u2019s National Signing Day has arrived, with a fresh group of future BYU players confirming their commitment to wear the stretch Y helmet.<\/p>\n
22 recruits have either signed their letters of intent or enrolled at BYU for the 2025 class. The Cougars added 18 players during December\u2019s Early Signing Period and welcomed 4 more yesterday.<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s take a closer look at the newest additions to the BYU roster.<\/p>\n
Athletes<\/p>\n
McKay Madsen, ATH, 4-star<\/p>\n
Madsen stands out as one of the top recruits in this class. While listed as a linebacker, he also hopes to have a shot at running back. In addition, he\u2019s a champion shot putter and discus thrower. He will serve a two-year mission before joining the Cougars on the field. He ranks as a top 20 recruit from California, a recruiting hotbed. Eventually, he could develop into a key defensive player similar to Jack Kelly.<\/p>\n
Taani Makasini, ATH, 3-star<\/p>\n
Makasini chose BYU over offers from Tennessee and Utah. His senior season stats include 139 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and contributions on offense, including running the ball and returning kicks. He is likely to leave on a two-year mission before starting his college career.<\/p>\n
Lamason Waller, ATH, 3-star<\/p>\n
Waller, who received offers from Alabama and Arizona, is a dynamic athlete with over 1,000 yards receiving and two interceptions on defense in his senior year.<\/p>\n
Offense<\/p>\n
Cale Breslin, RB, 3-star<\/p>\n
Breslin is one of the top recruits from Nevada, boasting impressive high school stats with over 2,800 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns across three seasons.<\/p>\n
Blake Bryce, TE, 3-star<\/p>\n
Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 228 pounds, Bryce brings excellent size to the tight end position. He turned down offers from Duke, Arizona State, and Cal to choose BYU.<\/p>\n
Jackson Doman, TE, 3-star<\/p>\n
Doman, the No. 3-rated recruit from Oregon, is another mission-first player. He has time to develop into his 6-foot-6 frame.<\/p>\n
Kingston Keanaaina, RB, 3-star<\/p>\n
Keanaaina, hailing from Mountain View, CA, ran for over 2,200 yards and scored 48 touchdowns throughout his high school career. He likely will serve his mission before joining BYU.<\/p>\n
Nolan Keeney, QB, 3-star<\/p>\n
Keeney, a top-five recruit from Oregon, chose BYU over Houston. At Tualatin High School, he averaged 290 passing yards per game.<\/p>\n
Tucker Kelleher, TE, 3-star<\/p>\n
Kelleher, a 6-foot-5 tight end from Georgia, adds to BYU\u2019s strong tight end recruiting class.<\/p>\n
Jacob Nye, TE, 3-star<\/p>\n
Nye, another tight end, caught 13 touchdowns in his senior season at Melissa High School in Texas.<\/p>\n
Austin Pay, OT, 3-star<\/p>\n
The Pay family legacy continues at BYU. After considering offers from Oregon, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, Austin Pay chose to stay in Provo. He likely will serve a two-year mission before playing at BYU.<\/p>\n
Kelepi Vete, OT, 3-star<\/p>\n
Kelepi Vete, along with his twin brother, is headed to BYU from Oakland. They both had offers from other Big 12 schools.<\/p>\n
Siosiua Vete, OT, 3-star<\/p>\n
Siosiua, the higher-rated twin, had offers from Arizona State, Cal, Baylor, and Stanford. He joins BYU to strengthen the offensive line.<\/p>\n
Andrew Williams, OT, 3-star<\/p>\n
Standing at 6-foot-7, Williams is a massive addition to BYU\u2019s offensive line. He had offers from several Big 12 schools and chose to join the Cougars.<\/p>\n
Defense\/Special Teams<\/p>\n
Jordyn Criss, CB, 3-star<\/p>\n
Criss, a track standout from Arlington, Texas, brings speed to BYU\u2019s secondary.<\/p>\n
Sale Fano, EDGE, 3-star<\/p>\n
Fano, from Saratoga Springs, Utah, ranks as the No. 19 recruit in Utah. He is expected to go on a mission before playing for BYU.<\/p>\n
Ulavai Fetuli, EDGE, 3-star<\/p>\n
Fetuli, who played tight end in high school, joins BYU\u2019s defensive front from La Habra, California, showing his versatile athleticism.<\/p>\n
Landan Goff, S, 3-star<\/p>\n
Goff, a tall safety from American Fork, Utah, will likely go on a mission before joining the Cougars.<\/p>\n
Tyler Payne, LB, 3-star<\/p>\n
Payne, the No. 9 recruit from Utah, chose BYU over several Mountain West and service academy offers. He adds to BYU\u2019s growing group of young linebackers.<\/p>\n
