A participant in Kendrick Lamar\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show was apprehended by security and given a lifetime ban from professional football events for displaying a Sudanese-Palestinian flag during the show.<\/p>\n
The National Football League informed the Associated Press that the individual \u201cwill (be) prohibited for life from all NFL venues and activities,\u201d noting that \u201cnone of those associated with the production knew of the person\u2019s intentions.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a statement given to PEOPLE on Monday, Feb. 10, the New Orleans Police Department reported that the individual was removed from the stadium but had not been detained or given a citation, and thus would not be named.<\/p>\n

According to the AP, the NFL stated that the performer, who was part of the 400-member cast, \u201cconcealed the item on himself and revealed it towards the end of the show\u201d while on a Buick GNX prop.<\/p>\n
